The following is not intended to represent an all-inclusive list of job responsibilities, but to outline the ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and QUALIFICATIONS of the position.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Create and edit engineering 3D models drawings, specifically product component and assembly drawings, using computer-aided drafting (CAD) tools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Coordinate with engineering team to design or detail components and/or assemblies, and to resolve design issues.  Coordinate engineering drawing views and orthographic projection to depict functional relationships of components and/or assemblies.  Review and implement the requirements of Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and/or Engineering Change Orders (ECO) per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Work Instruction (WI) and ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing.  Utilize independent judgment to determine if engineering drawings are complete, and comply with industry regulations or standards.  Communicate information effectively to others by telephone, email and/or in person.  Analyze information and evaluate results to identify the best solution and resolve issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum 3 years of experience in Drafting/CAD technology (specifically Creo Elements Pro/5.0).  College coursework in drafting, geometric dimensional and tolerancing is preferred.  Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Solidworks is a plus.  Knowledge of the practical application of engineering, including principles, techniques, procedures and equipment for the design and production of a variety of goods.  Experience with one-dimensional tolerance analysis is a plus.  Must be able to prioritize workload and effectively communicate schedule to others.  Must be able to use independent judgment to analyze and resolve routine CAD issues.  Must be able to use independent judgment to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternate solutions.  Must be able to review printed materials, including the identification and correction of inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, appearance, etc.).  Effective written communication skills, including the ability to express ideas in writing so others will understand.  Effective oral communication skills, including the ability to listen and understand information and ideas expressed through spoken words and sentences.  This is sedentary work at a workstation. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, etc. Generally involves sitting most of the time.
