- Plastics Injection Molding Product design
- Solidworks 3D modeling and 2D skills (proficient)
- Design for Manufacturing and Engineering (DFMA) experience
- GD& T, ANSI Y14.5 standards, and Six sigma- must know
- Good understanding of material, machining, manufacturing and material processes
- Design of Electro-mechanical products
- Concept design layout, prototype and fixture/tooling design
- Fixture design for automation purpose.

Manufacturing Skills
- Thinking out of the box
- Automated processes development
- Process Engineer with background in developing, writing
protocols/procedures/processes for mass production
- Kaizen and lean manufacturing experience is plus
- Responsible for defining methods, operations and sequences for qualification testing of components,
assemblies and products.
Principal Mechanical Engineer (Project Leader)
General Skills
- An individual to manage Mechanical Engineering group.
- Responsible for defining methods, operations and sequences for qualification testing of components, assemblies and products.
- This will include ensuring appropriate review of engineering designs during product development.
- Coordinate and interact with various groups and leaders.
- Develop detailed manufacturing packages for effective design transfer to manufacturing.
- Develop tests for mechanical hardware and ensure proper operation over the range of use.
Requirements
- BS degree or equivalent and 5+ years experience in a relevant technical discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to develop designs to meet project costs, performance and schedules.
- Proficient in 2D & 3D CAD for use in solid modeling individual mechanical components and assemblies (AutoCAD & SolidWorks preferred).
- Thorough understanding of machining, manufacturing and material processes, understanding of geometric tolerances, ANSI Y14.5 standards; experience using solid modeling in the manufacturing of injection moldings, die castings, and extrusions.
- Working knowledge of electro/mechanical design packaging, design and fabrication knowledge of injection molding, die cast, rapid prototyping, machined parts and associated tooling.
- Demonstrated understanding and success in new product introduction environments inclusive of DFM.
- Demonstrated success managing Mechanical Engineers.
