Intanna Technologies is looking for part time industrial designer with following skills.
- Consumer electronics product experience
- Plastics, injection molding housing, stand design
- Must have skill of human interaction- how things should look/feel. In short- form/feel/fit/function!
- Must have mechanical aptitude and aware of how mechanical snaps. slides press-fit work etc.
- Must be good at free hand sketches and coming up a few concepts quickly from mass production (molding) point of view
- 3D modeling (surfaces)
Please reply only if you meet above skills. You will be asked first to show your skills on given samples and come up with a few sketches. If we approve, you will be given this proejct.

Principal Mechanical Engineer (Project Leader)

- This will include ensuring appropriate review of engineering designs during product development.
- Coordinate and interact with various groups and leaders.
- Develop detailed manufacturing packages for effective design transfer to manufacturing.
- Develop tests for mechanical hardware and ensure proper operation over the range of use.
Requirements
- BS degree or equivalent and 5+ years experience in a relevant technical discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to develop designs to meet project costs, performance and schedules.
- Proficient in 2D & 3D CAD for use in solid modeling individual mechanical components and assemblies (AutoCAD & SolidWorks preferred).
- Thorough understanding of machining, manufacturing and material processes, understanding of geometric tolerances, ANSI Y14.5 standards; experience using solid modeling in the manufacturing of injection moldings, die castings, and extrusions.
- Working knowledge of electro/mechanical design packaging, design and fabrication knowledge of injection molding, die cast, rapid prototyping, machined parts and associated tooling.
- Demonstrated understanding and success in new product introduction environments inclusive of DFM.
- Demonstrated success managing Mechanical Engineers.
