Job: Drafter Pro/E and ACAD

Drafter   

Duration: Long term w/ Excellent Benefits  Rate: Neg.    Product: Medical Equipment

  • Prepares complex drawings from design sketches, specifications and comments provided by engineers and designers.
  • Prepares complex layouts to establish relationships and clearances among components and makes required calculations.
  • Performs  detailing and checking requiring independent judgment.
  • Prepares less complex preliminary designs and layouts as required.
  • Prepares more complex preliminary designs and layouts with engineering supervision.
  • May select materials and parts based on data and specifications. Creates parts lists for assemblies based on independent judgment and engineering support.
  • Assists in the preparation and incorporation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Coordinates the work of other drafters to assure compliance with company practices and efficient workflow including  preparations of labor expense estimates as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess a typically required  A.A. degree in Drafting Technology or equivalent technical training plus two (2) years of related experience, or six (6) years related experience or other equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.

  • Requires a thorough understanding of standard drafting techniques.
  • Must have good communication skills. He/She will also possess the following Software requirements:
  • Must know AutoCAD 2004.
  • Must have 2000 hours experience with PRO/Engineering. Must know Wildfire 3. InterLink 3.4 knowledge is a plus.
  • Must Know Windows Explorer.
  • Must know Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of Excel is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Access and SAP is a plus.

PTC is offering any college and university students who are enrolled in a college/university that has the PTC University Plus program with a free seat of Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire Schools Edition.  The intent of this license is to expand PTC’s opportunity to provide Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire to all students.  Now, students have the ability to use Pro/ENGINEER in their dormitory or their apartment.  Included is a perpetual license of Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire and the appropriate training materials.
